After Mark's death at the age of 34 in December 2002, a scholarship was created to honor Mark and his passion for music, and this website serves as both a living memorial to Mark and, while the scholarship was active, the online home of that scholarship. We awarded ten $1000 scholarships from 2003 to 2009. The Mark David Jones Scholarship was closed after the 2009 awards. We deeply appreciate all who contributed both money and effort to the scholarship, and the wonderful award ceremonies and fundraisers that accompanied each year's awards.
